Gold Record(2009)
In 1941, Glenn Miller was awarded the first ever "Gold Record" - celebrating 1,000,000 copies sold of the song "Chattanooga Choo Choo" from the musical "Sun Valley Serenade." This piece was created by layering one million copies of the song vertically, by dragging and dropping identical tracks inside sequencer software. No additional processing was done. The resulting piece was then cut into a single acetate record to make the "Gold Record." Only one copy exists.
